Actions and qualifiers
An action is ladder logic attached to a step. Its qualifier says when it runs.
Qualifiers
| Qualifier | Runs the action | Use it to |
|---|---|---|
| N | Every scan while the step is active | Run a pump for as long as the step lasts |
| P | Once, on the first scan of the step | Add 1 to a batch count on entry |
| S | From this step on, every scan, until an R action resets it | Start an agitator that runs over several steps |
| R | Stops one S action | Stop that agitator in a later step |
| L | While the step is active, for the first Time ms | Open a valve for 2 s at the start of a step |
| D | While the step is active, after Time ms | Start mixing 3 s after a step starts |
Over time
Add an action
- Select a step and choose Add action.
- Type an Action name and choose a Qualifier.
- For L and D, set Time (ms). For R, choose the stored action in Resets.
- Choose Edit logic to write the action's rungs in the ladder editor.
Common mistakes
- An output stays on after the stepIt is an S action. Add an R action for it on a later step.
- Expecting an OTE in an action to turn offWhen the action stops, its rungs stop running, so the OTE keeps its last value. Drive the output from the step's status tag instead:
