Delay on and delay off
One Run signal drives two outputs. The conveyor starts after a delay. The cooling fan starts at once and runs on after Run turns off.
Step by step
Pick a step. The rungs are drawn by the editor after Core scans the program up to that step.

1. Run on. The TOF sets DN at once, so Fan starts. The TON starts timing, so Conveyor waits.

2. Scan 2. StartDelay reaches PRE, 1.2 s. Its DN starts Conveyor.

3. Run off. The TON resets at once and Conveyor stops. The TOF starts timing and Fan keeps running.

4. Scan 4. FanRunOn reaches PRE. Its DN clears and Fan stops.
| Step | Run | StartDelay.DN | Conveyor | FanRunOn.DN | Fan |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Run on | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| 2. Scan 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| 3. Run off | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| 4. Scan 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
Why it works
- A TON's DN turns on only after its rung has been true for PRE. It turns off the moment the rung goes false.
- A TOF's DN turns on the moment its rung goes true. After the rung goes false, DN stays on for PRE, then turns off.
- Each step here is one scan, 600 ms apart.
Common mistakes
- Swapping TON and TOFTON delays turning on. TOF delays turning off.
- Reading the TOF rung instead of DNThe run-on is only in DN. A coil driven by Run turns off at once.
